Two weeks before the wedding I was speaking with Ana, Alexis’ mom, and she brought up one concern she had. I asked, is it about photography? “No,” she said. It was something that I thought was so sweet, she said, “I hope you can feel the love.” I thought to myself, I know Alexis and Izzy, they are very much in love. She then clarified and said, “No, I know they love each other, but with 425 guests, will you be able to feel the love with so many people attending?” I reassured her that it will feel as intimate as if it was held in her back yard. I think you can agree that from these pictures you feel the love by ALL. Ana and Steven Weissman, you put together an amazing wedding!!!
I always saw Alexis on our local Fox affiliate news, Channel 7, where she was covering serious stories. Now she’s an anchor too. I thought that she wouldn’t laugh at my jokes, not only did she, she had me laughing at hers. She looked amazing in her Monique Lhuillier dress. Izzy is always joking, but my only concern was whether I could step up to the plate and deliver images to his standards. Not only does Izzy run Magic City Casino along with his family (which they own) but he is a SERIOUS art and photography collector. In his collection to name a few are Henri Cartier-Bresson, Clyde Butcher (ghost orchid), Michael Carlebach, and a bunch of up and coming photographers as well. Izzy said my photographs will now be hanging along side his collection, next to the Bresson, that’s so awesome. I’m honored.
I have to thank both families, Weissman and Havenick, for letting me be a part of it all. It is the second Havenick son wedding I’ve photographed in the past year. Also thanks to my whole team for great support as usual. Vendors: Location Mandarin Oriental Miami Planner Sara Renee Events Florist Karla Pascal from Karla Conceptual Events Band Libido.
